About English Law Office

Good legal advice begins with listening.

At English Law Office, the goal is not simply to provide legal answers. It is to understand what matters to you, explain your options clearly, and help you make informed decisions with confidence.

Nicholas J. English began practicing law in Columbus, Ohio, in 2004, focusing exclusively on personal injury. For more than 20 years, he has helped individuals and families navigate the legal, financial, and personal challenges that often follow a serious injury. That experience taught him the importance of listening to clients, understanding what they are going through, and providing practical advice they can understand.

In 2024, Nicholas and his wife moved to Southern Pines to be closer to family. He wanted to continue practicing law while also finding a way to serve his new community. Estate planning, probate and estate administration, and guardianship offered an opportunity to use his experience in a different way—helping individuals and families prepare for the future and navigate difficult transitions before or after a loved one passes.

Today, English Law Office focuses primarily on these areas while continuing to accept select personal injury matters. The practice is built around a simple idea: good legal advice begins with listening. Every client deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and given straightforward guidance tailored to their circumstances.

Experience Matters. So Does How You’re Treated.

For more than two decades, Nicholas J. English has represented individuals and families through some of the most important and difficult moments of their lives. That experience has reinforced a simple belief: clients deserve a lawyer who listens, communicates clearly, and treats their concerns as more than just another case.
